Charlea Marie Hedrick

Charlea Marie Hedrick, of Gulfport, departed this world to join her son in Heaven on Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Hedrick was born in New Orleans and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was a high school graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Bay St. Louis. She graduated nursing school in 1981, and spent 20 years of her career at the Gulfport VA. She loved traveling - always by automobile - and admiring God's creations. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and was an excellent seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Hedrick, her parents, Charles and Lea Burns, and a brother, Albert Burns.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Hedrick, a son, Chuck Hedrick, a daughter, Samantha Raborn and her husband, Tim, a sister, Catherine Thornton and her husband Marvin, a brother, Wallace Burns and his wife Dot, 2 grandchildren, Andrew Raborn and Mandy Raborn, and other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church, Cowan Road, Gulfport where friends may visit from 12 noon until the mass at 1 pm.
Interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Bay St. Louis.
The family prefers memorials be made to the St. Thomas Music Ministry c/o Piano Fund, P.O. Box 1529, Long Beach, MS 39560.
