Cham Van Nguyen, age 70, passed away on July 18, 2019 in Gulfport, MS.
He was born in Ninh Binh Phat Diem, Vietnam on January 12, 1949 to Chinh Cong Nguyen and Hong Thi Nguyen. Mr. Nguyen served honorably in the military during the Vietnam War until the Fall of Saigon in 1975. He was a lifelong Catholic, proud and loving father of 9 children, avid gardener, fisherman and boat captain.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 50 years, Nhan Thi Nguyen; his children, Duyen and Nghia Le, Do and Dianelys Nguyen, Kim and Thomas Shaw, John and Kim Oanh Nguyen, Paul Nguyen, Mary and David Wolfe, Grace Nguyen, Therese and Jeremy Baldwin, Peter Nguyen; siblings, Chi and Tra, Chuyen, Can and Thanh, Can and Tuyen, Nga and Duc, Cu and An, Jasmine, Michaux, Lincoln and Leanna; grandchildren, Jessica Le, Justina Le, Sophia Shaw, Emelia Shaw, Leah Nguyen, Ivy Nguyen, Meghan Nguyen, Paxton Nguyen, Alice Baldwin, Charlotte Baldwin; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 and Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd. Long Beach. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish in Pass Christian. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Holy Family Parish.
