Cecelia "Nan" Ferrara, 95, a resident Pass Christian went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Cecelia was born in Bronx, NY where she married her high school sweetheart Anthony, and raised two sons, Ron and John.
Cecelia was a member of St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach. She loved children of all ages, especially her great-grandchildren. She loved to cook meatballs and eggplant parmesan. She was the happiest in the kitchen surrounded by her family and friends.
Anthony and Cecelia were married for 68 years at the time of his passing. They retired to Jupiter, Florida before moving to Long Beach and then Pass Christian in 2003.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her loving husband, in 2011, Anthony and her son, John in 2009.
Cecelia is survived by her son, Ron and Carol Ferrara of Pass Christian; granddaughter, JoAnn and George Koons and their three children Abby, Alex and Grace of Pass Christian; grandson, Anthony and Angela Ferrara and their four children, Vincent, Leo, Larina, and Charlie of Marana, Arizona; grandson, Ron and Janene Ferrara and their three children, Jaron, Landon, and Ralen of Ringtown, PA; grandson, John and Stacy Ferrara of Brooklyn, NY; grandson, Stephen and Kelly Ferrara and their two children, Cori, and Rocco of Roseville, CA; great-granddaughter, Alexis Lehurs of Fredrick, MD.
