Mrs. Catherine Ladner Miller, age 86, died on Thursday, September 17, 2009.
Catherine was born in Pass Christian and lived on the coast all of her life. She graduated from Pass Christian High School and attended the University of Tennessee, Martin Branch. She later attended cosmotology school in Jackson. Mrs. Miller retired from Pass Christian School District after 17 years as a bus driver. She was also a bookeeper for Adams-Lorraine Florist in Pass Christian and Bufkin's Furniture and TV in Bay St. Louis. She was a member of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport Auxillary and was a past member of the Pass Chrisian VFW Auxillary. Catherine was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in the Pineville community.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Merlin, fondly called """"Moe"""" and they had three children.
The family would like to say thanks to Dr. Paul Mullen and the Memorial Hospital Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verna Wilson, Frances E. St. Amant, brother, Warren St. Amant, husbands, Merlin """"Moe"""" Ladner, and John Miller. She is survived by her children, Irene Brown (Wayne), Peggy Hertz (Warren), and Wayne Ladner (Susan) and her step-children, John Miller (Sissy), Katherine Wise (Archie), Kenny Miller (Rita) and Chuck Miller. Grnadchildren, Kimberly Bowlin (Casey), Karen Brown, Kelly Davis (Michael), Wendy Hertz, Trey Hertz, Ben Ladner (Emily), and Jarrod Ladner. Two great-grandchildren Thomas Wise and Jacob Hertz. Akso by a half sister, Rainbo Rigas. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. September 24, 2009 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery in Long Beach.
