Carroll Wolsey Allen, Jr., age 89 of Pass Christian for the past 40 years, died on Saturday, February 23, 2008 in Gulfport.
He served as a captain in the U.S. Army Air Corp for four years and was a pilot who flew B24's. While stationed in China, he flew missions in Burma-India. During his military career, he received the following decorations; the Distinguished Flying Cross with one oak leaf cluster, the Air Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with four Bronze Stars, and the American Theater Medal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carroll W. Allen, Sr., & Lydia Freeman-Faires Allen and his sister, Lydia Allen.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Lore Noelke Allen of Pass Christian; his son, Ben Allen of Kittrell, NC; his daughter, Adria Allen of North Carolina; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later date.
