Carolyn Ann Scarborough

Carolyn Ann Scarborough of Long Beach Mississippi was born on October 1, 1946 in Pass Christian, MS. and passed away on February 16, 2023 in Gulfport, MS.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father Fred W. “Freddie” Scarborough Sr, Mother Mamie Lou “Petie” Scarborough, brothers, Fred W. “Rosco” Scarborough Jr. (Cathleen), William Augustus “Bookie” Scarborough (Bobbie), and a sister Beverly Gay Lee (Jack Sr,).

She is survived by her loving and devoted wife of 48 years Rhonda Beech Scarborough, daughter, Maria Ann Mena, son Marlon “Po” Kowalski, granddaughters, Gabrielle Kaylyn Mena and Rachel Kowalski, brothers Grady Allen (Buddy) Scarborough, Ricky Marlon Scarborough (Phillip); sisters, Cathrine Randall and Etta Morris.

Carolyn was an avid sports fan, especially basketball. She excelled in basketball at Pass High. She loved working and was always there with a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Her love of animals was unsurpassed, especially for Domino, DJ, Bailey and Miss Wilma's cat. Carolyn had an amazing talent for working on things and always had a project or two or three going on at one time with Rhonda right there by her side. Their devotion for each other was amazing.

Visitation will be held at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS, Wednesday evening February 22, 2023, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, and will resume Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 11:00am until the funeral service at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, Long Beach, MS.  A reception for family and friends will follow at 7279 Live Oak Way (The Oaks) in Pass Christian.
