Carolyn Nix

Carolyn Nix, born on December 17, 1932, in Porterdale, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, in Biloxi, Mississippi. A devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Carolyn was cherished by her family and friends alike. She is survived by her two children, Deborah Nix and Howard Nix, along with her daughter-in-law, Lynne Nix and Jimae Haynes. Carolyn's legacy continues through her three grandchildren, Jennifer Saucier, Christina Daughdrill, and Hunter Nix, as well as her four great-grandchildren, Madalynne, Ellie, Charlotte, and Sadie.

Carolyn was a woman of deep faith and was once an active member of the First Baptist Church in Biloxi, where she shared her love for the Lord and served in the Second Mile Ministry. Her dedication to her faith was reflected in her involvement with Bible Study Fellowship. Known affectionately as "GG," she had a remarkable ability to connect with others and never met a stranger. Carolyn loved to share her faith with anyone willing to listen, leaving a lasting impact on all those she encountered.

Carolyn had awesome stories about her childhood. She loved growing up with her Moss and Statham cousins during the Depression and World War ll. That love of family carried through to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held 6:30 pm  Thursday September 5, 2024 at Riemann Family Three Rivers Chapel.
