Carolyn Hansen

Carolyn "Carole" Elaine Hoda Hansen, age 67, passed away on July 31, 2021. She was also-known-as "MeMe" to her grandsons and many others. She was a longtime resident of Gulfport, and had been a resident of St. Martin for the last 20 years.
Carole was born in Gulfport, MS to Lavern "L.E." Hoda and Shirley Smith Hoda in 1953. She attended Gulfport High School and William Carey University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
"She had a love for family genealogy and was the keeper of our family history. She also loved photography, computers & technology, fishing with her boys and arts & crafts. She was very artistic and creative. To know Carole was to know that she loved deeply, valued family and treasured things. She will be forever remembered and loved."
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughter Rebecca "Becki" Harmon (Brian) of St. Martin; four siblings, Dennis Hoda (Debra) of Kiln, Jerry Hoda of Gulfport, Kathy Ward (Harold) of Woolmarket, Lana Hoda of Gulfport; two grandsons, William "Will" Harmon and Thomas Harmon of St. Martin; 8 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. It was well known that Will and Thomas were the light of her life.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 10 AM with visitation starting at 9 AM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
