Carolyn Cogley

Carolyn J. Cogley, age 84, formerly of Long Beach, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, in Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Quick and Evie Webb Quick; her brothers, Curtis Quick, Paul Quick, and Bryan Quick; and her sisters, Donna Quick Talley, Ima Jean Quick, and Charlotte Quick.
She is survived by her children, John P. Cogley (Deborah) and Kelley Cogley Beaty (Doug); her grandchildren, Joshua Beaty, Jordan Beaty, Rachel Beaty, Brendan Cogley, Ian Cogley, and Liam Cogley; and her great grandchildren, Elias Beaty, Benjamin Beaty, Ella Beaty, Jack Beaty, and Isabella Beaty.
Carolyn was a native of Cullman, AL, and graduated from Hanceville High School, class of 1954. She owned and operated Carolyn’s, Inc., which was a trucking and brokerage firm. While residing in Long Beach, she attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Her favorite activities included traveling, gardening, enjoying life, and spending time with her family and many friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Bay Cove staff for their support and care. Carolyn’s indomitable spirit will continue to encourage her family and friends to persist in the face of many struggles.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 19, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Long Beach.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
