Carol Giardina, age 77, of Biloxi, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 22, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.
Carol was born in Biloxi on Dec. 29, 1941 to J.L. Townley and Ethel McCormick Townley. She grew up in Biloxi graduating from Biloxi High School. In 1964, she married the love of her life William Roy "Bill" Giardina. They settled in Woolmarket until 1994 when their house was destroyed by a tornado. They relocated to Biloxi on Three Rivers Rd until their death.
Carol was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and served in several churches across the Coast. She had a love for music and sang gospel music for many years. Through the years, she sold Tupperware, and worked at the Oreck plant in Long Beach until retirement. She was a wonderful woman who will be deeply missed by friends and family.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Linda Jacobs and Kathy Lee; and her husband, William Roy "Bill" Giardina. She is survived by her two children, John Giardina (Kim) and Leah Martin (Kenny); her 5 grandchildren, Angela, Wesley, Nicole, Shayna, and Nathaniel; and her 3 great-grandchildren, Lawson, Grayson, and Hudson.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 12 pm - 2 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Delancey Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to one's favorite charity.
