Carol Ann Craig Bustetter passed away at the age of 73 on Monday, November 21, 2011. She was born in Jacksonville, IL, grew up in New Orleans and was a graduate St. Joseph Academy. She received her Bachelor's of Art Degree in Education from St. Mary's Dominican College and her Master's degree from UNO. She was a certified Montessori Directress, a Sister of St. Joseph for 12 ½ years, and taught for 26 years. She was elected and served on the Hancock County School Board for 7 years and did private tutoring for over 30 years.
Carol was an active member of the Diamondhead Ladies Auxiliary, a former member of the Women's Club, Newcomers Club, United Way Board, Krewe of Diamondhead, and Krewe of Olympus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bustetter.
She is survived by her stepson, R.L. ""Rick"" Bustetter, and an extended family including a special cousin and caretaker, Patricia Koupas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kiln Delisle Road, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to visit one hour prior. Inurnment at the Biloxi National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 22342 Evangeline Road Pass Christian, MS 39571.
