Carol Bradbury Busby, born on November 21, 1945, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, in Diamondhead, Mississippi. She was a beloved figure whose warmth and spirit touched the lives of many.

Carol was a proud graduate of McDonough High School in New Orleans.   She retired with V.T. Halter.   After retiring, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in her cherished role as a grandmother and devoted family member.

Her marriage to Henry Busby, Jr. was a partnership of love and mutual respect that lasted for 60 wonderful years. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with laughter, support, and shared dreams. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Henry, and their children: Susan Degeyter, (Barry); Henry Busby III (Renee Schexnayder); and Alex Busby (Roldolfo Rivera).

Carol's familial bond extended to her siblings, including Loy Bradbury, Jr. (Theresa), as well as her sister-in-law Kathy Fischer Bradbury. She held her grandchildren dear to her heart: Staff SGT/Henry Busby IV  (Micaela), Emily Busby, Caroline Degeyter (fiancé Kane Boudreaux), and Matthew Degeyter.

Though not forgotten, Carol's parents, Loy R. and Dorothy Johnson Bradbury, along with her brothers George J. Bradbury, Bruce B. Bradbury, and Richard Bradbury, have predeceased her. She also mourned the loss of her aunt, Linda Broussard, her mother-in-law, Eva Busby, and her sister-in-law, Marth Bradbury.

In her leisure time, Carol found happiness in spending time with her grandchildren and engaging with her family. Her life was an embodiment of love, strength, and compassion. The impact she made on her loved ones and friends will be remembered fondly, ensuring that her spirit will live on in the stories and memories they share.

Carol Bradbury Busby will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love will always illuminate the lives of those privileged to have known her.

The family would like to thank their mother's caregivers, Brandy, Brittany, Alex, and Rochelle
