Carlyne "Pete" McGee

Carlyne “Pete” McGee, age 88, of Long Beach, passed away on March 7, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy James McGee; a daughter, Mary Jean McGee; her parents, Realious Touchstone and Margaret Felsher Touchstone; and 3 siblings, R.L. Touchstone, Jr, Mary Ann Baker, and Vera Nell Dubuisson.

She is survived by a son, Benjamin McGee; a brother, Bobby (Carolyn) Touchstone; 2 grandchildren, Robert Dorris and Kristina Mutter; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McGee was born in Gulfport and went to Handsboro Elementary and graduated from Gulfport High School. She retired from Hancock Whitney Bank after more than 30 years of faithful service. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Long Beach.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 10 – 11 am at the First Methodist Church of Long Beach. A funeral service will be at 11 am in the church. Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
