Carlene Copeland Roberts, age 73, of Woolmarket, was born on September 20th 1947 in Tuscaloosa Alabama. She went to her heavenly home on October 30, 2020 leaving her earthly home in Woolmarket, Mississippi.

Carlene graduated from Pascagoula High School, where she met the love of her life, Bruce Lee Roberts. Their classmates voted them the Cutest Couple of 1965. Their special song was “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” performed by Elvis Presley. Carlene went on to graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi-Gulf Park, earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She greatly enjoyed teaching English and Reading for almost thirty years at Woolmarket Elementary School, and later, North Woolmarket Middle School. She was retired from the Harrison County School District.

She is survived by her husband of nearly fifty-five years, Bruce Lee Roberts; her son, Bruce Jr., daughter-in-law Teresa; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Bruce III, all of Woolmarket. She is also survived by her son, Destry and grandsons, Jacob and Jackson.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport, at 2:00 pm.  Visitation will be held one hour prior.
