d. November 25, 2010

Mrs. Carlene Joy Rayburn Gunter, age 58, of Gulfport, went to her heavenly home on Nov. 25, 2010 in Gulfport. Mrs. Gunter was born in Eugene, Oregon and resided in Gulfport most of her life. She was a 1970 graduate of Harrison Central High School.
Mrs. Gunter was preceded in death by her parents, William Robert Rayburn and Billie Rayburn Beasley; her son, Yazid Beaoui; and her brother Steve Rayburn.
Mrs. Gunter is survived by her husband, Clifton Gunter, Jr; Daughter Kady Beaoui (Ronnie) Pietz; Sons David Gunter, Ricky (Wanda) Gunter, and Roger (Dawn) Gunter; Brother Tim (Cindy) Rayburn and sister Donna Rayburn; Grandchildren Justin, Roger, Lindsay, Conner, Tiffani Joy, and Ryan; Great-grandchildren Warren, Ellie, Makayla, and Hayley; Nephews Timothy and Jeffrey (and great-niece Allie); and numerous cousins, great aunts, and friends.
She was a talented artist, she loved gardening and the outdoors in general, and her grandchildren adored their ""YaYa"" beyond words. She'll be sadly missed by all that knew her kind nature and beautiful smile.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that donations be made, in her honor, to any of the following organizations that she supported: American Red Cross, American Diabetes Association, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or CASA (court appointed special advocates for abused and neglected children) of Hancock County (PO Box 4112, Bay St. Louis, MS 39521).
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, assisted the family with arrangements.
