Carl E. Walters, Jr., 82 of Gulfport, MS, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, June 9, 2017.
Carl joins his parents Carl Walters, Sr. and Katie Mae (Dambrino) Walters; sisters, Helen (Walters) Einersen and Linda (Walters) Waters and husband Milford; and daughter, Cynthia (Walters) Landess in Heaven. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Dorothy (Kinsey) Walters of Gulfport; children, Ken Walters and wife, Lynn of Lindale, Texas, Susan (Walters) Dailey and husband, Jay of Bloomfield, CT, and Nancy (Walters) Ladner and husband, J. Kelly of Kenner, LA; son-in-law, Gary Landess of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Sandy (Walters) Randolph of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Joshua Walters and Jonathan Walters, Brad Landess and Amanda (Landess) Elliott, Lindsay Dailey, and Dene' Ladner, Micah Ladner and Monique Ladner; and great-grandchildren, Ariana Walters, Lex and Savannah Landess, Aubrey and Charlie Dawn Elliott.
Carl loved trains, working as the Station Manager at the Gulfport Union Station Depot for 17 years. He also loved music, singing and playing guitar while worshiping at the First Assembly of God Church in Gulfport. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, June 13, 2017, starting at 6:00 PM with a memorial service starting at 7:00 PM at First Assembly of God, 2600 22nd Ave, Gulfport, MS 39501.
