Carl D. Pearson

Carl D. Pearson, age 80, of Columbus, MS, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015. Carl is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia L. Pearson and four children, Kirk, Kelly, Jeff, and Dean. He had seven grandchildren, Chris, Faith, Grace, Dewayne, Desiree, Dominique, and Brandy. He also had four great grandchildren, Chloe, Cali, Landen, and Reese. Carl is also survived by his brothers, the Rev. David Pearson and the Rev. Harold Pearson. Carl retired as a M/Sgt. from the United States Air Force after 29 years of service. He received numerous awards and distinctions during his military career. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and bird watching. Carl was a member of the First Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. He liked to sing hymns, play trumpet, and also enjoyed ministering to the infirmed in area nursing homes. He will be missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, February 6 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport from 8:00-8:40 a.m. The service will be at 8:40 a.m. Burial will be at the Biloxi National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Tributes may be offered at www.riemannfamily.com
