First Sergeant Carl Edward "Pan" Miller, US Army (Ret.), age 80, of Biloxi, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018.
Mr. Miller had been a resident of Biloxi since 1985. He served 28 years active duty in the US Army, retiring as First Sergeant (E-8). He worked for 16 years as an Air Traffic Control Instructor with Civil Service.
Mr. Miller was an avid bowler and he was a member of the "Port City Breakfast Club" in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Helen Miller; his brothers, Kenny and Albert Miller; his sisters, Katherine Miller and Mildred Monroe; and his grandson, Cory Stith. Survivors include his three daughters, Janet Lawrence (Coleman Lawrence, Jr.) of Des Moines, IA, Denise Green (Michael L. Green) of Dover, DE, and Carlita Stith (Winston Stith) of Wichita, KS; his brother, Charles Miller of Opelousas, LA; his seven grandchildren: (Janet's children) Natalie & Nicole Lawrence, (Denise's children) Michael A., Marcianna & Malia Green; and (Carlita's children) Cammrynn & Quincy Stith; his great-grandchild, Malichai Williams (Nicole's son); by his former wife, Ann Miller; and by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Friends are invited to join the Miller family for visitation from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 23rd at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS 39531. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
