Carl Shelton Ladner, Sr., 84 of Bay St. Louis, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011.
Mr. Ladner was a lifelong resident of Hancock County and was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mayor Garfield Ladner and Lottie Bourgeois Ladner; his siblings, Louis Ladner, Alvin Ladner, Malvin Ladner, Grace Bordages Thomas, Myrtle Haas and Bertrand Ladner; and grandson, Benjamin Garfield Ladner.
Survivors include his children, Carl Ladner Jr. (Winnie) of Waveland, Cindy Ladner of Waveland and Charlene Elliott (Nick) of Stuart, Florida; his sister, Shirley LaFontaine of Waveland; and 6 grandchildren, Zach Ladner, PA of Pleasant Hill, CA, Sarah Ladner of Waveland, Dr. Lauren Elliott of San Diego, CA, Mark Elliott (Katerina), Natalie Elliott and Alex Elliott of Stuart, FL.
Private burial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Ladner was dearly loved and will be missed by his family & friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice Compassus for their care and compassion.
