Candra Leanne "Candy" McDonnell

Candra Leanne Roe Fountain a longtime resident of the St. Martin Community in Biloxi, passed away suddenly in Ocean Springs, MS on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the age of 52.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Maudell Roe; her father, Larry Kilgore; ex-husbands, Larry Allen Widel, Sr. and Mike McDonnell; granddaughter, Brookelyn Paige Widel; and son in law, Timmy White.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Jeremy and Danielle Widel; her daughter, Heather “Nikki” White; her mother, Jeanne Roe Chadakauskas; her siblings, Mike Sears (Nikki) and Richard Tapp; and her grandchildren whom she adored, L J Widel, Cade White, Peyton Widel, Callie White, Hayleigh Widel and Neveah, Hayden and Presleigh Cole; her uncle, Lee Heibert; and Carey Fountain her ex husband and best friend as well as other friends.

Candy was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming and lived her life on the MS Gulf Coast.  She held degrees in Cosmetology and phlebotomy.  She may be remembered from working at The Boat Shed, The Bombay Bicylcle Club and Famous Joes in Biloxi.

Candy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending church, throwing the cast net and shopping.

She was a beautiful soul who loved her children and grandchildren. Her smile could light up the entire room.  Her special saying was always, “Un Regalo de Dios” which translate to, “My Gift from God”.

Her children and grandchildren were her true blessings.  We Love You Momma…

A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the TCHOUTACABOUFFA  PADDLING TRAIL and NATURE PARK in D’Iberville on Riverside Drive off of Lamey Bridge Road beginning at 4:00 p.m.  (You will need to bring your own lawn chair.)

The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. in West Jackson County served the family.
