Camille Patricia Pruitt

   Camille Patricia "Pat" Pruitt, of Long Beach, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2023, of complications from a stroke she suffered in October. She was 83 years old.
   Pat was pre-deceased by her husband of 62 years, Larry Pruitt. She will be missed by family, including her son Mike Pruitt and his wife Cara of Hattiesburg; their daughters Caroline Pruitt Irons (Zach) and Lucy Pruitt; and her daughter Laurie Pruitt Lovely and her husband Mick of Davis, CA; along with their children Mary Camille, Jonathan, Julia, and Anna Lovely; and her sister, Carol Pearson, and niece Jamie Bailey, of Hixson, TN.
   Pat grew up in the Boston area and moved to Mississippi after high school graduation, where she met Larry, who was serving in the USAF at Keesler. Pat loved their Air Force travels, especially their time in England, and maintained friendships from that time throughout her life. After settling back in Mississippi, Pat worked as an executive secretary for the Air Force, and was the quintessential working mom, volunteering with her kid's activities and lovingly managing the busy household.
   Pat loved many things in her life: her beloved cat Rosie; reading; growing flowers and plants of all kinds; watching the birds that she faithfully fed in her back garden; and especially bragging about her grandchildren.
   The past 2-1/2 years, after losing Larry to the Covid pandemic, were hard for Pat. She experienced a couple fractures and had fought her way out of a wheelchair before suffering her stroke. However, during that time, she remained close with her family and was grateful for the many friends who visited and called, from near and far.
   A memorial service is planned for Pat at the Biloxi National Cemetery on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 10:00 am.  The funeral procession will leave at 9:30 a.m. from Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, going to Biloxi National Cemetery.
