Calvin Gene Chilton

Calvin Gene Chilton, age 77, of Gulfport, passed away on May 7, 2024.

Calvin was born in Piedmont, Missouri on January 16, 1947, to Lloyd and Lillian Chilton. He served in the U.S. Army and retired after 20 years.  He then worked as a civilian on Fort Camp Army base as a maintenance man for another 20 years. 

Calvin’s hobbies included mechanics, carpentry, hunting, fishing, and camping.  He loved working on projects.  

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd, and Lillian Chilton; and his brother, Patrick Chilton.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Monika Chilton; his children, Patricia Adam, Sandra Skaggs, and Christina Bush; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Robin, James Calvin, Andrew, Josephine, Ben, Damien, Sayde, and Carley; his great grandchildren, Bastion, Dan, Caroline, Noah, Chloe’, Liam and Ember; and his siblings, Jerry Chilton, Diane Knight, and Tom Chilton.

 The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS, with the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. A Reception will follow at the Riemann Family Funeral Home Reception Center, Biloxi.
