Calvin George Byrne, Jr. passed away on March 18, 2014 at the age of 61. He was the beloved son of Calvin George Byrne, Sr. and Joyce Traub Byrne; brother of Byron Hugh Byrne and Debbie Alfonso Byrne, Kevin Joseph Byrne and Anne Smith, Erin Byrne Levenson and the late William Joshua Levenson, Timothy Sean Byrne and Ann Daigle Byrne; loving uncle of Emma Byrne Levenson, Abbie Rose Levenson, Jennifer Lynn Byrne, and Evan Matthew Byrne. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Hugh E. Byrne and Emma Anderson Byrne, and Joseph J. Traub, Sr. and Laura Gamas Traub.
Cal was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 27, 1952 and was a resident of Chalmette, Louisiana most of his life before relocating to Diamondhead, Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina. He graduated from Holy Cross High School and attended Louisiana State University. He was a caring son, brother, uncle, godfather, and friend. His interests included music, woodworking, reading, and spending time with his nieces and nephew. He was loved by all and his intellect, clever wit, kindness, and loving nature will be greatly missed by his family, relatives, and friends. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport served the family.
