Bura Junior "Man" Dubose

Lt. Bura Junior ""Man"" Dubose, Long Beach Police Department (Retired), age 61 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Monday, January 24, 2011, in Gulfport.
Junior was a native of Decatur and a longtime resident of Gulfport. Junior had a lifelong career as a law enforcement officer, and retired from the Long Beach Police Department in 2003, after 21 dedicated years of service. He was a ""Cops' Cop."" Junior also was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the MS Chapter of the Blue Knights.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bura Dubose and Carrie Campbell Dismuke; his sister, Eva Britton and brother, Charles Dubose.
Junior is survived by his wife, Dee Anne Schultz of Gulfport; his children, Mason Dubose, Colton Dubose, and Lamont Hall all of Gulfport and Tonya (Orby) Davis of Decatur; his sisters, Diane Davis of Pearl, Clara Mae (Junior) Gallaspy of Hickory, and Carrie Dubose of Gulfport; his brother, Wayne Dismuke of Hattiesburg; his grandchildren, Reggie, T.T., and Brandon; his special nieces, Chrystal & Kaylah Dubose and Deonica Davis; his special nephew, J'Markus Dubose and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011, from 6pm-9pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at 12'Noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Pineridge Gardens (Evergreen) in Gulfport.
