Buck Waltman

Mr. Buck Waltman, 89, of Saucier Mississippi, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Waltman.

Buck is survived by his children, Robert Waltman (Cynthia), Peggy Forehand (Charlie), Mark Waltman, Rhonda Neese (David), Brandy Craig (James), and Joann Holliman (Mike); grandchildren, Christina Flynt, Wesley Waltman, Steven, Amanda, Amber Bang, Shayna Turner, Jessica Staehling, Marie Schmidt, Adrienna Dykes, Sarah Little, Olivia David, David Neese, Jr., Madison Richey, Braden Craig, Trevor, Kendal Holliman; and 28 great grandchildren.

Buck was a strong man that lived life on his own terms. He was a gentle giant that could turn into an angry bear in a split second. Buck enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family. He loved his children, grandchildren, and every great grandchild. He taught us life lessons the hard way, whether it was with a hand-picked switch or his famous water hose. Though he never said the words, I love you, we always felt his love.

Bucks final days were spent enjoying his yard, with his son, Froggy, and friends. He kicked back in his recliner and watched wrestling, until his wife called him home. He’s now at peace and has eternal life.

Rumors have it that he told everyone he wasn’t leaving his house until that Cadillac shows up to get him. On Saturday, September 16th, his Cadillac arrived and took him home.

Visitation will be at Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, will a funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 19th. Interment will be at Saucier Cemetery.
