Bruce Ray Lilly, 52, of Kiln, Mississippi passed away on January 16th, 2025, in Gulfport.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Dimitry James Schesser; and his stepfather, Herbert Davenport.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 9 years, Jamie Lilly; his parents, William "Bill" Lilly; stepmother, Yvonne Lilly; his mother, Linda Davenport; daughter, Leigh Ann Lilly; stepchildren, Jasmine Corner, Jewel Shoemake, Faith Hume, and William Thornton; his siblings, Eva Hurdle (Phillip Pitman), Lisa Harris (Howard), Amanda Sorenson (Jacob); and his grandchildren Ashlyn Raine, and Kaily Lynn.
He was a native of North Carolina. Bruce was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1993 until 2011. He was part of the 75th Ranger Regiment, and 75th Special Troops Battalion, an Army sniper, Special Forces instructor, and a Bronze Star recipient. Bruce also worked for the Hancock County Sheriff's Office as Assistant Commander of their Narcotics division and in Criminal Investigations. He was a Mason and belonged to Polar Star Lodge #154 and was most recently employed as a truck driver for Walmart.
Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking.
The family will receive friends beginning at noon on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln DeLise Road, Pass Christian. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
A graveside service will be held at the family cemetery (South Indian Town Rd, Shawboro, NC) on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Brian Pease officiating.
