Brittany DuVernay Saucier

April 14, 1985 — September 22, 2011

Brittany Lynn DuVernay Saucier, age 26, of Gulfport, MS became an angel of our Lord, while surrounded by family and friends, on Thursday, September 22, 2011.
Brittany was born April 14, 1985 in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She enjoyed going to church, spending time with her family, making crafts, cooking, and watching football. Brittany's smile and persona were angelic; they brightened even the darkest days. She lived with a smile on her face and went out of her way to make others smile. Her life was filled by the joy she received from placing the needs and wants of others before her own. Brittany's passion for spreading happiness will forever be ingrained in our minds and hearts. She will always be remembered in the smiles of those who were graced by her touch.
Brittany is preceded in death by her grandparents Charlie and Ellen Hoffmann and Ernie DuVernay.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dustin Saucier, her daughter, Mackenzie Saucier, her beloved dog, Chloe, her parents, Larry and Ellen DuVernay, her sister, Kortney DuVernay, her grandmother, Lorraine DuVernay, her parents-in-law, Kevin and Jeanette Saucier, and Valerie and Donnie Smith, her brothers-in-law, Devin Schonewitz, Dylan Reed, and Denzel Payton, her grandparents-in-law, Audrey Payne, Shirley Salters, Tom Salters, and Willis and Barbara Saucier, her godparents, Cheryl Yeargin, and Roy DuVernay, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Brittany's family would like to extend the sincerest gratitude to every professional that attempted to save our sweet angel. Her family would also like to thank every single person that offered prayers and thoughts in this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Mackenzie Saucier Scholarship Fund at St. Vincent DePaul School, 4321 Espy Ave, Long Beach, MS 39560.
