Brenda Gayle Pleasant

Brenda Gayle (Walker) Pleasant, age 74, went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2024. She was born on September 6, 1949 in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Jerry E. Walker Sr & Eva C. Walker. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry E. Walker Jr., and James Walker.

Brenda graduated from St. John High School in 1967. She was a Nurse for 28 years, and retired from Driftwood Nursing Home in 2020. Brenda enjoyed working in her yard and being in the outdoors. She loved spending family time playing card games, dice, and board games. Her enjoyment was in her K-9 companion “Amber”. Her favorite times were going to dinner and movies with “The Golden Girls”. Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and caretaker to so many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Brenda is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Janice Walker; children, Christy (Pernell) Smith, and Carrie (Greg) Miller; grandchildren, Lorie (Blake) Bullock, Lindsey (Jake) Sundermann, Delaney (Drew) Adamo, and Gregory Miller; great grandchildren, Bella Byrd, Ledger Bullock, Holden Bullock, Jake Sundermann; and sister in law, Terrie Walker. Brenda also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, and many well loved life long friends, and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 10 am until 11 am at the Riemann Family Funeral Home (11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport). The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Riemann Family Funeral Home with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
