Brandon Scott Monk, 33, a lifelong resident of the St. Martin Community, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, leaving his parents, family and friends in shock and broken hearted.
Born in November of 1986, he was a graduate of St. Martin High School, and had been employed at Adriatic Marine, in Raceland, LA; Ingalls Shipbuilding, in Pascagoula, Horizon Shipbuilding, and most recently, Odyssea Marine, Coastal Improvements/Rainbow.
He loved watching Florida State football, fishing and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ronald and Maybelle Monk; and his maternal grandparents Aubrey J. and Betty Seymour.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Ronnie and Yvette (Seymour) Monk; his siblings, Destinee Monk, Christy Wood (Rocky), Stevie Monk, Tami Monk, and Ronnie Monk Jr., (Mimi); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by them all.
A visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., West Jackson County. Interment will follow in Seymour Cemetery.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who have contributed to helping make this possible. The outpouring of love shown to our family will never be forgotten. May God Bless You All.
