Bonnie Mae Bond Chain

Bonnie Mae Bond Chain, 91, of Gulfport passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 in Hattiesburg. Mrs. Chain was born in McHenry and a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary,Gulfport, #2539. She attended Family Worship Center in Gulfport and Rawls Springs Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
Mrs. Chain was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Grady Chain; her parents, John and Ida King Bond; two brothers, Lonnie Bond and Elisha Bond; six sisters, Bertha Barnes, Ollie Mae Sweeney, Elizabeth Haskell, Mildred Shippee, Judith McKinney, and Emma Richardson.
She is survived by three sons, Don Chain and his wife, Brenda, of Biloxi; Barry Chain and his wife, Pamela, of Long Beach; Rusty Chain and his wife, Margaret, of Gulfport; two daughters, Peggy Crawford and her husband, Sam, of Madisonville, Kentucky; Vickie Deese and her husband, Frank, of Hattiesburg; 6 grandsons, 9 granddaughters, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Chain was a loving mother and mamaw. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family. The family would like to thank Hospice Advantage of Hattiesburg for their care and support during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, where friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens Cemetery.
