Bobby Tackett

Bobby Tackett, age 76 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Friday, September 16, 2011, in Gulfport.
Mr. Tackett started traveling in 1980, singing Gospel music, and retired to Gulfport in 2006, after 26 years of faithful service to his Lord. He was a member of Biloxi River Baptist Church in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie & Clemmie Hulsey Tackett and a sister, Pearl Sargent.
Mr. Tackett is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Sarah Scott Tackett of Gulfport; his daughter, Sherry (Perry ""Dallas"") Davis of Saucier; his son, Tony (Renaee) Tackett of Gulfport; his sisters, Mae Cooper of Borger, TX and Barbara Wall of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Ricky Tackett, Alecia Tackett, and Melanie Tackett all of Gulfport; his great granddaughter, Mariah Tackett of Gulfport and many loving friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Biloxi River Baptist Church, 13340 Rene Avenue in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at First Free Church of God Cemetery in Gulfport.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
