Bobby Ray Shoemaker

Bobby Ray Shoemaker, age 84, of Pass Christian, passed away on April 24, 2023 after a brief illness at home surrounded by his family.

He was born and raised in Biloxi and served in the United States Air Force for four years.  He was employed at the Gulfport VA Hospital for 30 years in Nursing Services.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Bertie Shoemaker; his siblings, Betty Guthrie, James Shoemaker, and George Shoemaker; and a step-son, Jerred Necaise.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Necaise Shoemaker; a daughter, Kim Jarreau (Corey); step-sons, Stephen Necaise and Jamie Necaise (Michelle); a grandson, Adam McGraw; his siblings, Charlotte Scarborough (Charles) and Dianne Davis (Billy); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Shoemaker was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.  Many thanks to Kare in Home, especially Tracy, Hannah, and RaDonna for the excellent care that was given.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 1 – 2 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach.  The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will be in Old DeLisle Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the South MS Humane Society
