Billy Charles White, age 82 of Harrison County, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law.
He served in the United States Navy and retired in 1971, he was stationed on the USS Nereus (AS-17), USS Canopus (AS-34), USS Antietam (CV-36), and USS Bushnell (AS-15). After retirement he worked for Keesler Air Force Base Troop Issue where he retired in 1998.
Billy was a native of Lamar County, Purvis, MS, and he enjoyed hunting with family and longtime close friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Wichers White; parents, Abner and Ruby White; sister, Bonnie Jean White; brother in law, Vic Clayton.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Lisa Ladner (Doug) and Karen Swails (Frank); brother, Byron White (Cheryl); sisters, Faye Clayton and Bonita Paddock (Tom);brothers-in-law, Billy Wichers and Richard Wichers; grandchildren, Brandi Bryant (Chad), James “Colby” Murray (Sara); great-grandchildren, Mckenna Grace and Pacer Thomas Bryant, Keagan Elizabeth and Dylan Wade Murray and he was Pops to all within our blended family.
A visitation will be held at 1:00PM until 1:45PM on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:45PM following visitation.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church building fund, 9062 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian, MS 39571.
