Billy Thompson

Billy Thompson, Sr., age 78 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Saturday, June 9, 2012, in Gulfport.
Mr. Thompson had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast since 1967 and was a member of Crossroads Worship on Highway 53. He was a former co-owner of Superior Builders and Gulf Coast Manufactured Homes both in Gulfport. Billy enjoyed family gatherings, music and fishing. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Thompson, Sr. and Ethel Rayburn Briley.
Billy is survived by his wife, Lucy Thompson of Gulfport; his children, Elizabeth ""Liz"" (Donnie) Necaise of Gulfport, Billy (Ginger) Thompson, Jr. of Gulfport, Ricky (Sandra) Thompson, Sr. of Saucier, Lee Wilder of San Angelo, TX, and Shawn Thompson of San Angelo, TX; his brother, Edward (Nancy) Thompson, Jr. of Saucier; his sister, Ethel Presley of Florence; his grandchildren, Jason (Lisa) Necaise, Haley (Chris) Broom, Alecia Ladner, Amy Enroth, Billy E. Thompson, Chase Thompson, Daniel Ladner, Ricky (Lena) Thompson, Jr., Ashley Thompson, John (Hollie) King, Julia King, Sam Wilder, Roger Wilder, Runie Wilder, and Lucas Thompson and twenty great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012, from 5pm until 8pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 49 North in Gulfport.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Finley Cemetery.
