Billy Roach

Retired Command Master Chief Billy L. Roach, U.S. Navy, Retired, age 68 of Gulfport, MS, died on Friday May 8, 2009 in Gulfport.
Mr. Roach was a native of Arkansas and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast for over 30 years. He served in the United States Navy Seabees for over 30 years and during his naval service in Gulfport was in charge of the construction of the Navy Lodge. The Lodge was affectionately known as aÌ‚â‚Å“The Roach Motelâ₝. Mr. Roach was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a master carpenter. He was also a devoted family man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Inez Roach, a brother James Roach and a sister, Virginia Roach.
Survivors include his wife, Carole Roach of Gulfport, 4 children, Chris Roach of Gulfport, Merry Roach of Fairhope, AL, Brian Roach and Shawn Roach both of Gulfport. He is also survived by his siblings, J. T. Roach of Maryland, Joseph Michael Roach of Hillsboro, MO, Mary Rhoads of Lawton, OK, Nina Roach of Altus, OK, and Betty Senka of Yipsalini, MI, 8 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Tuesday May 12, 2009 at the graveside in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens with full military honors. A guestbook may be signed at www.riemannfamily.com
