Mr. Billie Joe Pujol, of Biloxi, passed away June 4, 2012 at the age of 79 after a lengthy illness.
He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, lived in Dallas, Texas for 20 years, Pinellas Park, Florida for 14 years, and recently moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Velma and Bill Pujol.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Virginia; three sons: Timothy (Rieko) of Tokyo, Japan, Michael of Tokyo, Japan, and Scott of Cleveland, TN; a sister, Darla Vesper (Bill) of Brenham, TX; a twin brother, Jackie Lee Pujol of Chicago, IL; two very special granddaughters, Reina and Mina; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pujol served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. In his youth he played baseball, ran track, and was a Golden Glove boxing champion. He was a member of Beauvoir United Methodist Church on Pass Road in Biloxi.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Beauvoir United Methodist Church, where friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time. The Rev. Michelle Bailey will officiate.
