Billie Jean Sepich Bennett, of Biloxi, went to rest with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, in Biloxi, MS.
Born to the late Rudolph and Jean Sepich of Mississippi City, Mrs. Bennett was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church. She was a native of Gulfport, MS and a graduate of Gulfport High, where she received the Herf Jones award for Home Economics. She attended Perkinston Junior College (now MGCCC) where she was tapped for Phi Theta Kappa, an Honorary Fraternity. She also attended the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Mississippi, where she received her B.A.E. degree in Education. She taught school in Natchez, Pineville, and Mississippi City schools.
Mrs. Billie Bennett is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph D. Bennett of Biloxi; her sons, Dr. B. J. (Nancy) Bennett of Jackson, MS, and George (Diana) Bennett of Gulfport; grandchildren, Jessica (JJ) Franklin of Atlanta, GA, Justin Bennett of Jackson, MS, Jaime Bennett, of Jackson, MS, Ashley Bennett of Biloxi, and Erin Bennett of Saucier, MS; and great-grandsons, Gabriel and Alexander (Jessica) Franklin of Atlanta, GA, and Skyler and Tahlon (Erin) Martinelli of Saucier, MS.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Bennett.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with a memorial service at 10:00 a.m., at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. The family would like to thank those at Biloxi Community Living Center who took great care of Ms. Billie.
