Billie Rayburn Beasley, age 75, of Gulfport, went to her heavenly home on Monday, October 13, 2008 in Gulfport. Mrs. Beasley was born in Wiggins, MS and resided in Gulfport most of her life.
Mrs. Beasley was preceded in death by her parents, William Silas and Myrtle Rayborn; her brother, Everett (Buddy) Burdett; her first husband William Robert Rayburn and second husband P. M. Beasley, Jr.; first grandson, Yazid Beaoui; & niece Judy Darnell. She is survived by her daughter, Carlene and her husband Clifton V. Gunter, Jr.; her son, Tim and his wife Cindy Rayburn; her step-children Steve and Donna Rayburn; her sisters, Jessie Skelton and Sylvia (Gerry) Willis; her granddaughter, Kady Beaoui-Jernigan; and her grandsons David M. Gunter, Timothy D. Rayburn Jr., and Jeffrey M. Rayburn; her step-grandchildren: Marie, Scotty, Karen, Sharon, and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Conner Allen, Tiffani Jernigan, Ryan Gunter, and one on the way. Also numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and her dearest Hetty and Montelle.
Mrs. Beasley devoted her life to her family. She was a beautician for many years in Biloxi and retired from the Biloxi VA as a nursing assistant. She was a member of Community Baptist Church of Gulfport, and was an avid fisherwoman, gardener, and caregiver. She was an excellent cook and everyone was always welcome.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wiggins.
Pallbearers are: Grandsons Scotty, David, Timothy, Jeffrey, Conner, and brother- in- law Cecil. Pastor Danny Collins of Community Baptist Church and Pastor Scotty Rayburn of Red Creek Baptist Church will be officiating.
