Bill Nivens

Bill G. Nivens, age 67, and a resident of Biloxi, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2009, in Biloxi.
Mr. Nivens was preceded in death by his parents, Roy G. Nivens and Frances Nivens; and his brother, Gerald Dean Nivens.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Johnson Nivens of Biloxi; his children, Drexel Simpson (Sandi), Phillip Simpson (Tami), James Simpson (Janie), James Nivens, Jerry Nivens, Billy Glen Nivens, Jr., all of West Monroe, LA, and Carol Simpson Gipson (Troy) of Bowling Green, KY; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren; and many special friends and neighbors.
He loved fishing, Crusin the Coast, and antique cars. He loved his family and friends and was always there with a helping hand.
The family wishes a special thanks for Rhonda Jeffreys and the staff of Gulf Coast Hospice for their dedication and support.
Flowers may be sent to Eastside Baptist Church, Monroe, LA on Friday, October 9, 2009 or memorials may be given to Gulf Coast Hospice, 4107 Popps Ferry Rd, D'Iberville, MS 39540.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Eastside Baptist Church, Monroe, LA.
