Bidwell A. Redmond, Sr., age 79, of Saucier, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mr. Redmond spent most of his life in Harrison County. He worked 41 years at the Forestry Commission (U.S. Forest Service). He enjoyed the outdoors. His hobbies were gardening, fishing and hunting. Mr. Redmond was also the caretaker of the Forestry Station on Hwy 67.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Redmond; his parents, Samuel W. and Irma Redmond; his sister, Frances Stiles; his brother, Lester Redmond; and his step-son, Philip Conn. Survivors include his son, Bidwell Redmond, Jr. and his wife Hope of Saucier; his step-daughter, Edith Evans and her husband William of Saucier; his step-son, Robert Conn and his wife Dora of Santa Fe, NM; his siblings, JoAnn Henley, Shirley Shavers and her husband Pat both of Saucier, Charlene Holland and her husband Jack of Escatawpa; and Jessie Smith; his grandchildren, Brittany, Victoria, Julie, Duane, Andy, Angela, Ryan, Michael, Marcus, Yvonne, Jennifer; and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Bond Cemetery in Saucier.
