Beverly Ann Hill

August 17, 1941 — July 30, 2024

Biloxi

Beverly Ann Hill, age 82, of Biloxi, passed away on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024, in Gulfport. She was lovingly known to her family as “Granny Bat”. Beverly was born on August 17, 1941, in Clarke County, MS. She became a resident of Biloxi in May of 1974.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Ethel Mosley; and her daughter-in-law, Michaela Hill.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dan Kenneth Hill; her children, Ken Hill, Gina Hill Bailey (Bob), and Jeff Hill; her grandchildren, Matthew Hill (Crystal), Jennifer Hill Rivers (Eddie), Bethany Bailey Gober (Derek), Trey Bailey (Meghan) and Nate Bailey (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Kimberly Rivers, Matthew Hill, Madison Hill, Bailey Ann Gober, TJ Bailey, Davis Gober, Alexanderia Rivers, Jake Bailey, and Joe Bailey; her siblings, Phil Mosley, and Paul Mosley (Kay) ; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Beverly graduated from Beat Four High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. She loved traveling to the mountains. She was an amazing cook and was known for her cornbread, chicken salad and sweet tea. On Saturday night, you could find her at home watching Molly B’s Polka on RFD TV. She played handbells at First Baptist Church, Biloxi, and loved hosting their annual Christmas party at her home. You could usually find her putting together a puzzle or working in the yard with Dan. During the years when she worked at the Hallmark store, you could always find her helping her customers pick out a special card for their loved ones.

Beverly’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For over twenty years, she took pride in teaching 4-year-old Sunday School at First Baptist Church, Biloxi. She absolutely loved Jesus and spreading his love. Most recently she became a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Biloxi.

Granny Bat was a truly wonderful woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She loved as Jesus did and demonstrated it with understanding and giving without expecting anything in return. Her warmth, wisdom, and boundless love were evident in everything she did. Her joy and kindness will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the incredible impact she had on our lives.
