Beverly Rose Ferrell Alman, age 79, of Gulfport, passed away on March 24, 2008 in Gulfport.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Reverand Lewis Wayne Ferrell and Madeline Ferrell.
She is survived by her husband, Sam Alman, III; her sister, JoeAnn Massenburg of Crystal Beach, Texas; her daughter, Candy Alman Price, and her husband, Roland Price, of Hazlehurst, MS; her son, Ferrell Alman, and his wife, Rose Alman, of Gulfport; and her six grandchildren, Ashleigh, Madeline, Mary Camille, and Clay Price, and Ferrell and Olivia Alman.
Mrs. Alman was born in Magee, MS on September 9, 1928. She was married to Sam Alman, III and together, they lived in Gulfport for 57 years. She was a graduate of Central High School in Jackson, MS and a graduate of Mississippi College. She was an English teacher at Fernwood Junior High. Mrs. Alman taught Humanities and was the student council sponsor at Gulfport East High School. In 1969, the Gulfport East High School Annual, the Legend, was dedicated to her. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gulfport where she was very involved in children's activities by teaching Sunday School and Bible School. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed all aspects of nature, especially birds, herbs, and wildflowers. Her love of flowers extended to her work at Cardinal Flower Shop in Gulfport. She was a life-member of the Four Seasons Garden Club, Gulfport Junior Women's Club, Junior Auxillary, the Reveler's Mardi Gras Association, and Merry Maskers Mardi Gras Association where she was past queen.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 1:00 PM where friends may call from 11:00 AM until service time at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport.
