Betty Jo Simpson Schultz

Betty Jo Simpson - Schultz, age 89, passed away peacefully October 19, 2021.

Miss Betty was born July 2nd, 1932 in Gulfport, MS to Ruby and Rimmer Simpson.

She graduated from the Mississippi University for Women with a degree in education, later expanding to a Masters of Education.  She was a teacher for 30 years, a vocation she truly loved.

She treasured her family, and always said what was on her mind . . tempering her frankness with a wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas Hanson of Gulfport, MS and David Hanson; her daughter in law, Andrea Hanson and granddaughter, Ruby Hanson of Sausalito, CA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Simpson; father, Rimmer Simpson; husband, Bill Schultz and son, Christopher Simpson Hanson.

She will be remembered fondly for her commitment to her family, humor and fortitude.

Go with God Miss Betty.  We will meet again on a warm Southern wind.
