Bettye Green

Bettye Joyce Ladner Green passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 14, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Bettye was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph N. Ladner and Theresia C. Saucier Ladner, her great-granddaughter, Skylar Rester, her brothers, Bobby Ladner, Wesley Ladner and John D. Ladner and her longtime companion, Roger Tomasich, Sr.

Bettye is survived by her children, Winfred L. Frederick (Shondail), Theresia L. Moran (Thomas McCarthy), Lillian J. Rester (Bert), Lila J. Necaise (Vincent) and Lisa A. Moran (Russell Necaise), her sisters, Ethel Dedeaux and Mary Ella Green (George) and also survived by her step children, LaShawn Wilson and Roger Tomasich, Jr.; her 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and her step brother, Kenny Mayfield.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the Kiln Shelter, 18320 Hwy. 43 from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 11:00 am and you may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Rotten Bayou.
