Bettye Fairley

Bettye Meadows Fairley, age 74, of Gulfport, passed away on April 7, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Fairley; her father, Hiram B. Meadows; her step-father, L.C. "Ike" Fortner; a grandson, Reeves Fairley.
Survivors include her children, Kimberly "Kim" Fairley, Deborah Gregory, and Brent (Melinda) Fairley; her mother, Dorothy Fortner; 2 sisters, Willa Jean (Rick) Baragar and Sheila Morrison; 5 grandchildren, Kaycee Gregory, Cole Gregory, Reagan Fairley, Reed Fairley, and Rylan Fairley; and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Fairley was a lifelong resident of Gulfport and graduated from Gulfport High School in 1960. She worked for the Harrison County School District for 31 years and retired in 2008. Bettye enjoyed visiting with her family and many friends she made through the years with the school district.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 13, 2017, from 10 am - 1 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOMEA, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A funeral service will be at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will be at 3:30 pm in Fairley Cemetery, Perry County.
Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation or The Gideon's International.
The family would like to thank the staff at Seashore Highlands Methodist Care Center and Kare in Home Hospice for their care, comfort, and support for Bettye.
