Bettye L. Evans Bradford, age 81 and a resident of Long Beach, died on Saturday, July 23, 2011, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Bradford was a 5th generation pioneer Coastal family. She was former president of the Riverside Pineville Extension Homemaker's Club, a dedicated Sunday School teacher, and a longtime employee of the Food Pantry in Long Beach. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Long Beach.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Paul & Clara Jones Evans. Mrs. Bradford is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Thomas Bradford, Sr. of Long Beach; her daughters, Anne Marie Bradford of Ocean Springs, Emily Bradford (Blair) Sherwood of Ocean Springs; her step-daughter, Connie Pearson of Wiggins, her sons, Thomas Bradford, Jr. and David Bradford both of Long Beach; her step-sons, Eddie Bradford of El Paso, TX and Johnny Bradford of Washington; five grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at 3:00pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Coalville Cemetery.
