Betty Joyce Ladner, age 71 of Pass Christian, MS, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2010.
""""Mama Joyce"""" was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was the backbone of our family and a strength to everyone she knew. Her generosity and love touched many people's lives. She had a heart for anyone who was in need, and her home was always open to everyone. She was a woman of faith and lived each day and night to the fullest. She loved her community and could be found every weekend with her friends, attending various gatherings. Her legacy will live on throughout the years, but she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Kermit Ladner; parents, Elmer and Onelia Necaise; brothers, Elvis, Kenneth and Ray Necaise; and sisters, Lucille Peterson and Zelma Ladner.
She is survived by her children, Ricky (Tania), Donna (Wendall), Kerry (Lisa), and Dean (Lisa); a special niece, Tammy; grandchildren, Heath (Jennifer) Necaise, Kera (Beau) Parkerson, Brantley (Devin) Ladner, Naomi (Larry) Moran, Durante (Kristina) Necaise, Maegen (Jeremy) Niolet, Kristen (Brent) Lape, Cory, Justin, and Dylan Ladner; great grandchildren, Trevor, Trentin, Bryce, Ryleigh, Brooklynn, Eli, Keragon, Hannah, Kaylee, Adysyn and Braylee; brother, Hayward Necaise; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-10 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian, with Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, June 9, the procession will leave the funeral home at 1:45 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m., at St. Williams Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou. The guestbook may be signed at www.riemannfamily.com.
