Betty Gavliniski

Betty Sue (Waites) Gavliniski age 88, departed this life to her eternal home in heaven on August 24, 2021 in Ocean Springs.  Born on August 8, 1933 in Laurel, MS, Betty was a longtime resident of the Coast.

She retired from Keesler Air Force Base, and was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6731.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Gavliniski; her longtime companion, Kenneth Boggs; her daughter Tina Gavliniski; and her son Barry Gavliniski.

She is survived by her three daughters, Jana E. Harwell (William), Lisa D. Jordan (Robbie), and Nela C. Morris; her three grandchildren, Amber R. Leuenberger (Freddie), Delaina S. Milam (Hope), and William T. Morris; four great-grandchildren, Alexandria Baughman (Chris), Regan Patrick (Tyler), Jayden Holley and Emerson Milan; and her two great-great-grandchildren, William Baughman and River Grace Patrick, numerous relative  and lifelong friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. in West Jackson County.  Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 90 in Biloxi.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
