Betty Freeman Conerly

Betty Freeman Conerly, age 94, of Long Beach, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on August 14, 2024. She was born in Pike County, Mississippi to Everett and Laura Freeman.

 Betty was preceded by her husband, Thomas Emmett Conerly in 2022; a daughter, Ramona Barrentine; her parents, Everett and Laura Freeman. Betty was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Long Beach since 1969 and served in the church kitchen during events for over 40 years. She worked at the Gulf Shore Baptist Assembly for many years. She was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Betty leaves her cherished memories to her children, Linda Havers (Hollis), Cindy Mitchell (Mike), and Mark Conerly; five grandchildren, Hollie Creel (Stephen), Lane Havers, Heath Mitchell (Shelly), Amber Broome (Steve), and Shelby Collins; eight great grandchildren, Chase Creel (Claire), Cody Creel, Levi Mitchell, Aiden Mitchell, Taylor Barnes, Trace Havers, Kristopher Havers, and Kelli Havers; three great-great grandchildren, Cooper Creel, Landon Barnes, and Mia Barnes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Monday August 19, 2024, from 10:00- 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Long Beach. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the church. 

Interment will be 1:30 pm Tuesday August 20, 2024, at Biloxi National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to First Baptist Church Debt Retirement Fund, First Baptist Church of Long Beach, 400 N. Cleveland Avenue, Long Beach, MS 39560
