She was a native of Lorain, OH and was a current resident of Gulfport. Betty graduated from St. Mary's School in Lorain, OH in 1960 and later graduated as a Registered Nurse from Providence School of Nursing located in Sandusky, OH. While in high school, Betty modeled for several boating magazines as well as modeled for a local camera club. Later in her career, she became a Certified Registered Nurse and took great pride in her ability to care for patients in need in the many hospitals she worked in throughout her 47 year career.

She enjoyed arts & crafts, fishing, jig saw puzzles, bingo, football, traveling, reading, eating crab legs and feeding slot machines. Her greatest interests were the lives, activities, growth and involvement with her grandchildren. She was close with many friends and classmates from High School and treasured attending reunions and cruises with this group.

Betty was a life-long active member of several Catholic Churches, and enjoyed attending Our Lady of Fatima in Biloxi, MS over the last several years. She was a supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Betty met Phil while attending The Providence School of Nursing. Phil was in the Army and stationed at Camp Perry, OH. After graduation, they were married in Elyria, OH on January 16, 1965. They settled in Michigan where they raised their boys. They later moved to Texas and ultimately ended up settling in Gulfport, MS.

She found wonderful jobs everywhere she lived and cherished doing what she loved most, being a nurse and caring for others. Betty loved spending time with her friends and family, and loved any time she could spend with her grandchildren. Our family is thankful for the incredible outpouring of support and prayers for us at this difficult time. She was loved, and we are all better as a result of her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. Contributions can be made in her name via the following link: https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html?sc_icid=header-btn-donate-now
